About
Ceri Anne is a London based artist from the North West of England, primarily working with acrylic and mixed media painting. New to the scene, Cez first debuted her art professionally in 2023.
Cez draws her artistic style from contemporary still life, with her paintings characterised by fine details, bold colours and gestural brush strokes. Mostly self taught, Cez has expanded her knowledge and techniques at Morley College, London, where she has completed the Creative Drawing and Painting short courses.
Noticing the beauty in the everyday, Cez’s paintings highlight the often-overlooked details in ordinary objects and aim to serve as a reminder to the viewer to slow down and take time to observe and appreciate their surroundings. Cez likes to create pieces that her audience can associate with, whether that be through finding familiarity or comfort in the subject, or evoking memories that encourage reflection and conversations.
Cez is an explorative artist and experiments with her painting style, combining abstract expressionism with still life, taking inspiration from artists such as David Hockney, Diana Copperwhite and Henri Matisse. Cez has showcase her work in the Made in Morley 2024 show at the Morley Gallery. She is currently working on a few series to exhibit in 2025.
